LatAm crude steel output recovers in March
South American and Mexican crude steel production increased month-on-month in March, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish.
South American crude steel output totalled 3.69 million tonnes in March, up 12.6% m-o-m. Output was also 1.7% more compared to the volume of 3.63mt in the same period in 2021. During the first three months of 2022, crude steel production amounted to 10.57mt, down 3.6% over January-March 2021.
