LatAm crude steel production recovers in March
South American and Mexican crude steel production increased month-on-month in March, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish.
South American crude steel output totalled 3.51 million tonnes in March, up 10.7% m-o-m. Output, however was down 7.6% compared to the volume of 3.79mt in the same period in 2022. During the first three months, crude steel production amounted to 10.27mt, a fall of 4.5% on January-March 2022.
