LME scrap and rebar traded volumes slip again
The London Metal Exchange (LME) saw both the number of lots and tonnage volumes fall month-on-month in its ferrous scrap and rebar contracts in July, the exchange tells Kallanish. Average prices dipped on-month for rebar but recovered slightly for scrap.
The LME formerly advised an end-of-month price for both the rebar and scrap contracts in its monthly ferrous report. It now highlights average, minimum and maximum prices for the month for both products.
