Longs import markets hold steady in Southeast Asia
The East Asian long products import market was more or less stable this week. Certain offers are slightly lower than last week, Kallanish notes.
Several offers for 6.5mm diameter blast furnace wire rod from within the region have dipped to $845/tonne cfr Manila, compared to quotes at around $850/t cfr last week. The offers are for origins at sellers’ option. “So, it could be from any Southeast Asian or Chinese mill,” a Manila trader notes. …
