Low demand drags down French stainless scrap prices
Stainless steel scrap prices in France are collapsing this month, by €600/tonne ($614) on average compared to June, Kallanish notes.
The tumbling prices and low selling volumes are mainly due to weak sales of finished flat and long products, and French mills' long summer stoppages.
