Northern European wire rod prices have decreased slightly this week due to low demand and a slow market, sources say. Some participants nevertheless continue to expect prices to increase this month amid new trade activity.
“Steel mills continue to sell small volumes, because buyers still have full stocks from last year,” a buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish.
In some cases, prices have decreased by €10-20/tonne ($11-22).
