March pig iron output rebounds, first quarter down
Global pig iron output rebounded in March after its February decline. Ironmakers produced 108.5 million tonnes of pig iron in March, up 11.8% on-month but down 6.4% on-year, with first-quarter output still down 8.8% on-year at 310.1mt, show worldsteel data.
