NLMK recovers iron from secondary raw materials
NLMK Lipetsk has launched a new plant for processing secondary raw materials which will recover iron for re-use.
Materials processed include crushed concrete, reinforced concrete and bricks, which are formed at the enterprise after repairs and reconstruction. The new equipment will process over 100,000 tonnes/year.
Iron will be extracted using a magnet and then returned to production, Kallanish notes.
