NLMK Mid-East/Turkey exports fall despite Turkish billet shipments
NLMK’s shipments in the Middle East and Turkey inched down 4% on-year in 2020 to 2.2 million tonnes, Kallanish notes. This accounted for 12.6% of the steelmaker’s consolidated sales versus 13.4% in 2019.
Revenue generated in the region fell 12% in 2020 to $1.03 billion.
Higher billet sales to Turkey and Africa contributed to a 4% rise in NLMK Russia Long Products exports in 2020 to 900,000t.
