NLMK reduces dust emissions with major Stoilensky upgrade
Russian steelmaker NLMK has embarked on a large-scale environmental upgrade of the air purification system at its Stoilensky Beneficiation Plant, the company says. This will enable a ten-fold decrease in air dust concentration and halve gross atmospheric emissions.
Investment in the project will total approximately RUB 700 million ($9.5m), Kallanish notes. All works are scheduled for completion by the end of 2021.
