NLMK to increase productivity with new gas systems
Russian steelmaker NLMK has approved final acceptance certificates for Primetals after the construction of new off-gas systems at the converters of basic oxygen furnaces No.2 and No.3 at steel plant LD2, Kallanish notes.
The targets of the projects were to increase productivity and reduce emissions, as well as to improve the heat-recovery system to supply steam to the existing network, using the converter’s off-gas for further utilisation.
