NLMK recovers steel from recycled concrete

NLMK Lipetsk has processed 40,000 tonnes of concrete and reinforced concrete, formed after repairs and reconstructions, recovering steel for re-use, the company says. The processing plant was launched last August and recovered 500t of steel in 2022, Kallanish notes. Large-sized parts of reinforced concrete are crushed at the plant, from which iron is then extracted with the help of a magnet – it is up to 5% of the total volume. The remaining concrete iā€¦
