Northern European rod prices continue to decrease
Northern European wire rod prices have decreased further this week amid low demand and a quiet market, sources say. Most participants expect further falls.
“The steel companies don’t want to restock this month, because of the weak demand from the construction industry,” a buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish.
Prices have dropped some €10-20/tonne ($11-22), depending on the sort.
