Northern European rod prices fall, outlook mixed
Northern European wire rod prices continue to fall this week, with sales low and only small volumes being purchased. Most sources expect this trend to continue until the end of the year.
“The expectation is that we will achieve the bottom of the market in a short time,” a buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish. “Energy costs also bottoming out and steel mills are expecting higher energy prices next year.”
