Northern European wire rod prices continue to drop
Northern European wire rod prices have decreased this week amid lower scrap prices and cheaper import offers from countries outside the EU, most market participants say.
“The expected reduction was also due to lower demand in the market," a German merchant confirms to Kallanish. “Most customers of steel products in the northern European market continue not to participate in new trading, because they expect prices to fall further down.”
