Nucor lends weight to tube price hike
Nucor is joining the push for higher tubular prices with a $100/short ton hike, according to a customer letter.
The increase is effective immediately for all hollow structural sections, pipe, mechanical tube and piling products.
“This increase is a result of rising raw material costs, strong demand, and volatility of transportation costs,” Kallanish learns from the letter.
Extant orders will be price-protected through 7 May.
