Nucor picks North Carolina for new micro mill
US steelmaker Nucor plans to build a new $350 million, 430,000 short ton/year rebar micro mill in Lexington, North Carolina.
The planned mill be the company’s third micro mill, after the facilities in Missouri and Florida, Kallanish notes.
Construction is slated to take two years.
