Nucor raises plate prices for May order book
Nucor’s plate mill group has announced increased pricing for May’s order book, Kallanish learns from a letter to customers.
Nucor’s as-rolled and normalised plate prices will increase by $55/short ton, quench and tempered plate will rise by $100/st, and cut-to-length plate will increase by $125/st. The price increases take effect with all new orders placed 31 March and later.
US plate prices this week rose to $1,880-1,910/st, ex-works mill.
