Outokumpu expects stable demand after earnings, deliveries drop
Outokumpu expects stainless steel deliveries throughout the second quarter will remain stable compared to Q1, Kallanish hears from the Finnish company. Its ferrochrome production is increasing, and returning to normal levels. However, the business area is preparing for a maintenance break in Q3.
Outokumpu notes the stainless steel market in Q1 was clearly weaker than in Q1 2022, but gained strength in comparison with Q4 2022.
