Pakistani imported scrap remains stable amid slowed sentiment
Despite a scrap scarcity in the nation, Pakistani imported scrap offers plunged last week on the back of slowed finished steel sales coupled with Pakistani rupee devaluation and a delay in opening LCs.
Early last week, offers for UK- and EU-origin shredded scrap were at $440-444/tonne cfr Port Qasim. Sellers tried to hike their offers but could not achieve the desired numbers against consistent lower bids from the buyers.
