Pig iron offers increase in Italy, quiet persists
Pig iron offers in Italy have increased by some $30-40/tonne from those Russian producers allowed to sell in Europe. Buyers are however giving new quotes the cold shoulder as appetite remains poor, Kallanish hears.
Offers are now in the range of $480-490/t cfr, up to $500/t cfr, levels considered too high given the uncertainty surrounding finished product sales.
