Scrap concerns anchor US plate pricing
US plate pricing remained essentially flat on-week as scrap concerns linger, Kallanish reports.
Kallanish held its A36 pricing on 27 April at $1,910-1,930/short ton, ex-works, domestic mill.
Market sources have recently pointed to softening scrap prices for May as a sign that plate mills may not risk raising prices in a bearish market.
