Rebar prices slightly slip in the US
Rebar prices are slipping in the US, despite strong demand from the nation's non-residential construction industry.
According to market sources, pricing for rebar has fallen back down to $1,020-1,040/short ton for #4 rebar in 20-foot sticks, ex-works, domestic mill.
One northeastern US rebar distributor suggests that the decline is likely due to falling scrap prices over the past month.
