Russia competition authority says three steelmakers monopolising market
Russian competition authority FAS has concluded that Severstal, MMK and NLMK have since January 2021 established and maintained monopoly high prices for hot rolled flat products in the domestic market.
“Since January 2021, the companies' prices for hot-rolled flat products have increased disproportionately to the changes in the costs of Severstal, MMK and NLMK required for the production of products,” FAS says in a note seen by Kallanish.
