Russia decreases scrap consumption, exports: Ruslom
Russian steel enterprises have significantly reduced consumption of ferrous scrap due to falling capacity utilisation, Russian scrap metal association Ruslom tells Kallanish.
Consumption has decreased by 35% on-year in January-June, it notes. Scrap collection companies are massively stopping their activities and cutting jobs, as a result of which scrap collection in the country has fallen by 50%.
