Carmakers in Russia continued to decrease output in December, which dropped 68% on-year to 40,300 vehicles, according to national statistical service Rosstat.
In 2022, production thus reached only 450,000 units, down by 67% on-year, Kallanish motes.
In November, Russian carmakers produced only 24,000 units, down 78.8% on-year, one of the steepest falls since Covid-19 lockdowns slashed output to 30,000 cars in April 2020 (see Kallanish passim).
