Russian court seizes Volkswagen assets amid legal claim
Russia’s Arbitration Court of Nizhny Novgorod region has ordered the seizure of all Volkswagen (VW) assets in Russia after a claim from Russian carmaker GAZ Group.
GAZ demanded to invalidate the termination of the agreement with Volkswagen on contract assembly in Nizhny Novgorod. The firm has lodged a claim to recover RUB 15.6 billion ($203 million) in losses from the German company.
