Coking coal production in Russia increased in 2022, according to national statistical service Rosstat.
The volume amounted to 105 million tonnes, up by 4.5% on-year, Kallanish notes. In December alone, output was 9.8mt, which is 4.1% more than in November and 2.4% on-year.
Elga Coal and Sibanthracite Group (ELSI), part of Russia’s A-Property, increased coal production in 2022 to almost 45mt, up by 16% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
