Metalloinvest advances Lebedinsky GOK eco-efficient tailings storage
Metalloinvest, Russia's largest iron ore and hot-briquetted iron producer, is set to construct a new eco-efficient tailings storage facility at Lebedinsky GOK, estimated to cost RUB 52 billion ($673 million).
The project aims to reduce electricity consumption by 25%, lower dust emissions by 90%, and decrease operating costs for pumping tailings and returning water to the production process.
