Samarco expects improving pellet production in 2023
Brazilian iron ore miner and pellet producer Samarco, co-owned by Vale and Australia's BHP, estimates that pellet production in 2023 should be 8-9 million tonnes, Kallanish notes.
The miner plans to invest BRL 1.6 billion ($307.17 million) this year, of which BRL 721m will be destined for decommissioning works, now at an advanced stage, of the Germano dam and pit.
