Schnitzer Steel turns a profit in Q2
Portland, Oregon-based US long steel producer Schnitzer Steel Industries' earnings swung into the green during the company's second quarter of its fiscal 2023. Kallanish understands that Schnitzer Steel earned $4 million on sales of $756m in its quarter ended 28 February, but these results fall below the company's earnings of $38m on sales of $783m in the same period of last year.
