Federacciai eyes nuclear return, CCUS in decarbonisation pursuit
Federacciai has asked the Italian government to consider reintroducing nuclear energy to help decarbonise the national economy, association president Antonio Gozzi said at its annual meeting held at last week’s Made In Steel tradeshow in Milan. Nuclear power represents 25% of European electricity production, but was phased out in Italy by 1990.
