Scrap price declines in Taiwan accelerate amid holidays
Taiwan's scrap market sunk lower during the Labour Day holiday in East Asia. The fall in steel prices struck a blow on scrap prices.
Local Taiwanese buyer Feng Hsin Iron & Steel cut its rebar price on 2 May by TWD 1,000/tonne ($32/t) and reduced its scrap purchasing prices by TWD 300/t for this week.
