Sequential demand improvement lifts Tata's March-quarter European deliveries
Tata Steel Europe saw March-quarter deliveries rise 7% on-quarter to 2.13 million tonnes, thanks to the improving demand environment. However, product mix has been affected by the ongoing upgrade at the CM21 cold rolling mill. The relining of blast furnace no.6 at IJmuiden has started on schedule.
Compared to the year-earlier quarter, however, deliveries were down 11%.
