Severstal starts sea shipments amid restriction on exports
Russian steelmaker Severstal has started sea navigation from the industrial port of its flagship Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant (CherMK), the company tells Kallanish.
The first ships with steel products went to St. Petersburg, Novorossiysk, Nizhnekamsk and Volzhsky. In April, a multimodal scheme for sending products - that is, using the waterway and vehicles with delivery directly to the customer's warehouse - began, the enterprise claims.
