Severstal will reduce gas emissions by 20%
Russian steelmaker Severstal has set itself a more ambitious goal of reducing specific emissions of dust, sulphur dioxide and nitrogen oxides at its Cherepovets Steelworks (CherMK), the company says.
Specific emissions should decrease in 2026 to 4.28 kg/tonne of steel from 5.39 kg/t of steel in 2017, or in total by 20%, Kallanish notes.
