Shaanxi Lueyang Steel to upgrade electric arc furnace
China’s Shaanxi Lueyang Iron & Steel is planning to start construction of a 100-tonne electric arc furnace (EAF) in April this year, due to be completed within a year, Kallanish notes.
According to the capacity replacement plan released by the provincial Industry and Information Technology Department, Lueyang Steel wants to use the new EAF to replace its two old 60t EAFs.
