Gibraltar ship sinking limits German market rebar supply
The vessel that hit ground near the Rock of Gibraltar in late August and caused oil leak damage was carrying a sizeable rebar tonnage that will now not be delivered to the German market. This will further restrict already limited supply, German sources observe.
Kallanish has confirmed with an informed source that the rebar cargo comprised 30,000 tonnes from a major Omani steelmaker.
