South32 hikes South Africa manganese sales, increases premium
South32’s South Africa Manganese operation increased attributable manganese ore sales 9% on-year across the first half-year – through December – of its 2022 fiscal year (FY22) to 1.2 million tonnes.
The firm says it continued to truck additional volume, drawing down inventory and optimising sales mix. Sales thus achieved a 37% premium to the manganese lump ore index.
