SSAB readies fossil-free steel sales, eyes €300 premium
SSAB announced this week that in the second quarter it will start to offer fossil-free steel commercially. This will be named SSAB Zero and produced with recycled steel and fossil-free energy, Kallanish notes.
The company says the quality of SSAB Zero will be equal to normal steel produced by SSAB. The target is to deliver 40,000 tonnes of SSAB Zero to the market in 2023, rising to 100,000t in 2025.
