Steel futures stall as steel production stabilises
In the middle of the week, the steel market has seen zero change and thus Chinese rebar and hot rolled coil futures are fluctuating in a small range, Kallanish notes.
On the Shanghai Futures Exchange, the most-traded January 2023 rebar contract closed CNY 14/tonne higher than Tuesday at CNY 3,691/t ($516/t), while the same contract for HRC gained CNY 19/t to CNY 3,774/t.
