Steel imports to the US fall during April
Monthly steel imports to the US fell by over a tenth during April, Kallanish learns from data supplied by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
According to recent Commerce data, monthly steel permit tonnage fell by 11.7% in April to 2.73 million short tons. Finished steel imports fell by 9.1% during the month, as well, to 2.26m st.
