Subdued demand lowers Black Sea pig iron prices
Despite the uptrend in raw material values, including scrap and iron ore, demand for Black Sea pig iron remained subdued following the sharp price rise last week, market participants inform Kallanish.
Offers were observed at around $380/tonne fob Black Sea from major suppliers in Russia, but workable prices were estimated in the range of $350-360/t fob.
