Taiwanese scrap prices inch higher

The scrap import market in Taiwan has continued to rise this week, and strong international scrap prices led to a sharp rise in offers for imports. Kallanish assessed HMS 1&2 80:20 container scrap at $420/tonne cfr Taiwan, up another $10/t on-week. Scrap supplies from the US remain tight, making sellers raise offers.
