Taiwan’s CSC reduces sales, income surges
China Steel Corporation (CSC), the largest carbon steel manufacturer in Taiwan, reported that its carbon steel sales totalled around 9.56 million tonnes in 2021, falling by 5.7% from one year earlier, Kallanish notes from the company’s monthly operation reports.
In December alone sales dropped 9% on-year to 726,885t. Logistics obstacles in the second half of the year were the main problem and caused annual volumes to sink to their lowest since 2016.
