Tata Steel bags Indian rail coaches manufacturing contract
Tata Steel has been awarded a contract from Indian Railways to manufacture coaches and seats for the indigenous semi-high-speed train “Vande Bharat”.
According to an IANS report, Indian Railways has given a tender worth about INR 145 crore ($17.67 million) to Tata Steel for manufacturing the parts of the train. Production will be completed in 12 months, Kallanish notes.
Indian Railways aims to manufacture 200 Vande Bharat trains in the next two years.…
