Toyota, Nippon Steel agree on steel price hike
Japanese automaker Toyota and steel product supplier Nippon Steel have agreed to raise steel prices for the first half of fiscal 2023, the Japan Times reported.
According to the agreement reached by the two companies, the price of steel to Toyota parts suppliers in the first half of this fiscal year (April-September) is expected to increase by JPY 10,000/tonne ($74/t) compared to the second half of last fiscal year.
