Turkey continues relying on Russian slab in March
Turkey's slab imports increased again in March for the fourth consecutive month, reflecting the rebound in the Turkish flat steel market and the ongoing rise in European demand and prices.
Having returned to slab restocking in December, Turkish flat steel producers again only booked Russian slab. This came after a sharp price drop on the back of the expiration of the temporary Russian ferrous export duty on 1 January.
