Turkish domestic, export rebar markets follow diverging trends

Turkish rebar producers are facing stagnant export demand while enjoying better domestic demand since Wednesday. Mills have nevertheless been forced to increase export quotes this week due to strong domestic demand and increasing scrap prices. On Thursday, mills’ official rebar export offers were mostly at $710/tonne fob Turkey actual weight, up from $690-710/t fob last week.
