Turkish imported scrap rises further on fresh deals
Turkish imported scrap prices, which saw a rebound the week prior, continued to increase last week on fresh deals.
Following the Baltic-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 deal at $351/tonne cfr Turkey on Thursday, a southern Turkish mill has bought an EU-origin cargo comprising 30,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 80:20, 5,000t of HMS 1 and 5,000t of shredded at average $354/t cfr. HMS 1&2 80:20 corresponds to $349/t cfr.
